White is preparing to play in the College World Series with his University of North Carolina Tar Heel teammates before he joins the professional ranks.

The Indians have struggled in 2009 with a record of 25-34, good for seven games out of first place behind the Tigers in the American League Central. In 2008 the Indians selected shortstop Lonnie Chisenhall with the 29th overall pick on the board.

Chisenhall is hitting .299 with the Kinston Indians of the Class A Advanced Carolina League. He has recorded 13 doubles, one triple, 10 homeruns and 44 RBIs in 54 games. He has shifted to third base after beginning his professional career.
