The St. Louis Cardinals have selected Brownwood High School right handed pitcher Shelby Miller with the 19th pick in the 2009 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. Shelby has a fastball that touches the upper 90s on the gun and a plus-rated curveball to go along with the perfect pitcher’s body frame.
