The Colorado Rockies have fired longtime manager Clint Hurdle and replaced him with bench coach Jim Tracy. The team will make a formal announcement later today. Hurdle became the manager of the Rockies in 2002 and led them to a National League pennant in 2007 before being swept in four games in the World Series by the Boston Red Sox. Tracy has also managed the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Hurdle has a 534-625 record as Rockies manager. He took over for Buddy Bell on April 26, 2002 as the team’s manager.
