The Arizona Diamondbacks have fired manager Bob Melvin after beginning the season 8.5 games behind the Dodgers in the NL West. The team also fired hitting coach Rick Schu after the team began the season with a .225 team batting average; which is worst in the league. Pitching coach Bryan Price resigned from the staff.
